Yet another family referral… Tommy is Basia’s (2007) brother. He and his fiance Kristin contacted me a few months back about photographing their wedding next year. We shot a very fun Engagement Session down around the Museum Campus and Northerly Island. We had a ton of fun. I really can’t wait until the wedding!

Dave & Jennifer were a referral from Frank & Karen (2007). I had such a fun time shooting this wedding and seeing some of the same familiar faces! One of my favorite parts of this wedding was the use of Jennifer’s Grandfather’s vintage auto as their “getaway” car!
The ceremony was held at Immanuel United Church of Christ and the reception at the Bartlett Hills Country Club.

I first met Will & Lisa at Kevin & Laura’s wedding a couple months back. Lisa is Laura’s sister and I feel so privileged to have been asked to photograph Lisa’s wedding as well. A majority of my business is referral based and I love nothing more than shooting wedding upon wedding within the same family tree
We headed over to Long Grove to the church where the ceremony will take place next year. We also shot over to Wilmette Harbor to catch some beach shots. I don’t know how we came up with the graveyard photos for an Engagement Session, but I guess it brings new meaning to “until death do us part”! I do confess to throwing out the idea of doing “sand angels”

Joe & Andrea could not have had a more wonderful day to get married. Their ceremony and reception were both held at Prairie Landing Golf Course. The outdoor ceremony was beautiful and the reception was super fun. Thanks so much for allowing me to take part in your special day!

Mike & Ann are getting married next year and we were finally able to get in an Engagement Session. We had to postpone once because of the monsoon like rain that we were getting in Chicago a few weeks back. We had a fun time running around and getting some awesome shots. They even brought out their dog “Wrigley” for some shots at the beginning of the session.
Check out a few of my favorites and a slideshow!

I’ve been slacking in updating my blog as my super busy wedding season has been coming to a close. I’ve also gotten a bunch of albums now in queue for bridal couples that all waited until the same time to send me their album selections!
I’ve been neglecting my blog.
I’m working on some posts right now and will spread them out over the next week or so.
Thanks for all your support! I know lots of people read my blog, but no one ever comments! Well, Karla does - my favorite blog stalker bride getting married next month

I was just notified today that I was invited to join The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association! I am so super excited to have been invited to join such a prestigious group of international artistic wedding photojournalists!
Here is what the [AG]WPJA has to say about it’s organization and members…

Andrew
The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association [AG]WPJA is comprised of outstanding wedding photographers, who are at the forefront of the wedding photography industry when it comes to enhancing images. The chief objective of the [AG]WPJA is to provide members with a platform where the finest enhanced, manipulated and/or artistic wedding photojournalism in the world is spotlighted and promoted for the bride and groom.
The [AG]WPJA is a separate division of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA). Whereas the WPJA upholds strict guidelines that forbid excessive picture manipulation, the [AG]WPJA encourages and fosters creative image enhancement, with the vision of promoting Fine Art Wedding Photojournalists.
The [AG]WPJA establishes and upholds high standards that are taken into consideration during the judging process for our wedding photography contests. Using all artistic tools at their disposal, members skillfully enliven their work in post production processing.
