Congratulations Mark & Aubrey!

Mark & Aubrey were married in October.  Their ceremony was held at St. Francis Xavier in Wilmette followed by a gorgeous reception at The Westin Chicago Northshore.

Here is a little about the couple in their own words.

Aubrey and Mark met in October 2010, in Chicago, Illinois. Aubrey was out watching the Michigan vs. Michigan State football game, when in walked Mark, in a bright red Ohio State shirt! Aubrey and Mark struck up a conversation, and believe it or not, this Wolverine and Buckeye are getting married! Their wedding date of October 11th is actually the anniversary of their first date.

Aubrey and Mark currently reside in Dallas, Texas. Aubrey teaches 2nd grade at Pinnacle Preparatory, while Mark is a surgical sales representative for Aesculap, Inc. Aubrey and Mark still enjoy watching and playing lots of sports, the Texas sunshine, and exploring Dallas together.

How we got engaged:

Mark cooked a beautiful dinner at home and had flowers, chocolate, and candles laid out on the kitchen island. I got home from work on a Monday evening, and Mark was down on one knee before I was all the way in the door. It was very sweet, private, and romantic – all in the comfort of our own home – perfect for me. Mark also proposed on Nov. 18, which is a special day, because it was his Dad’s birthday, who passed away when Mark was 19.

Special touches for our day:
We are really excited about our “wedding guest tree” that each guest will sign, in lieu of a traditional guest book. There is also a surprise on the table for Mark and his family from me, that we have donated to the Cleveland Clinic in honor of Mark’s dad (in lieu of traditional wedding favors).

Please check out some of their amazing wedding photos.
