Chris & Kim have an interesting story. They’ve been dating for 16ish years and finally tied the knot! Kim is one of my wife’s very good friends and I was honored to be asked to document their wedding day. Aside from my wife standing up in the wedding and giving me all of her creative input (cough, cough, instructions all day
) the day could have not gone better. (Just kidding honey!).
I’m going to follow up this post with another one specifically about Chris - very cool story line there.
Anyway, the ceremony was held at Willow Creek Community Church in Barrington, IL. The reception was held at the Holiday Inn in Rosemont which has a very cool Penthouse style banquet hall.
Chris & Kim are a very special couple and I wish them the very best in the years to come!

Jack and Margot are another couple that is getting married about a month from now and we were finally able to get in an engagement session. Actually we brought along their super cute dog and he joined in on the photo action
We had a fun time walking around and snapping some relaxed portraits in their cozy neighborhood in Evanston.
Here are a few shots from the session!

I shot a wonderful wedding for Michael and Violet a couple weeks ago. We had a beautiful day in between all the soggy Chicago weather. The ceremony took place at St. Mary of the Angels in Chicago, with a reception at Beveldere Chateau Banquets in Palos Hills. It was a really cool Polish heritage infused reception - super fun since I’m mostly Polish myself
Be sure to checkout the slideshow link below to see some of the great reception shots.
I’d also like to thank Jim for coming out to second shoot for me!

Jim and Caryn will be getting married in a few short weeks. We were able to sneak in an engagement session downtown in between all of the rain that we’ve been getting around Chicago! Caryn was able to get permission to do some shots at Wrigley Field! Caryn is a super huge Cubs fan and is trying to rub some of that off on Jim
Here are a few shots from the awesome session!

Joe and Andrea are getting married a little later this year and we were finally able to get out and shoot some engagement photos. We headed into the city and went for a long walk grabbing shots where ever we found something cool. We were also able to get on the rooftop of a friends condo building to get a couple nice shots with the Sears Tower in the background. It was a fun session and I think we captured some great moments
Check out a few of my favorites and a slideshow!

Ben and Meghan just got married a few weeks ago. I guess in April it’s always a flip of the coin on getting nice weather, and we got a little rain. The day still turned out wonderful as a little rain is always good luck! The ceremony was held at Old St. Pats in Chicago which is a stunning church for those of you that haven’t seen it! We hit Old Union Station and the Palmer House lobby prior to heading out to the reception at the Morton Arboretum. The reception was a blast with Meghan’s nieces performing a really fun Irish dance.
I’d also like to thank Jay for coming out to second shoot for me! I had a blast!

Mark & Karla wanted to do a quick session downtown to grab some shots in front of the Chicago Theater to use as a “Save the Date” card for their wedding coming up in November. We were planning on doing an Engagement Session later in the summer - but since we were already downtown and it was a nice day we took more than just some shots at the theater. Here are a few of my favorites, as well as the “Save the Date” that we ended up with

Greg and Sally got married in February. They had a very beautiful ceremony and reception at the Newberry Library. Everything about the day was super fun and Greg and Sally were awesome to work with.
On a sidenote, the reception entertainment was provided by Maggie Speaks - which is a super Chicago area band. What’s really cool is that the lead guitarist (Chris Seibold) went to the same college as I did. We actually played in the Elmhurst College Jazz band for a couple years - I played the Alto Saxophone…

I shot a very cold Portrait Session for Jason & Erin a few months back and totally forgot to blog about it! Jason & Erin aren’t engaged (yet), but they are a super cute couple and I had a fun time with them taking some photos near Magnificent Mile downtown.
Here are a few of my favorites!

This winter in Chicago has been pretty long and not so much fun - I really don’t like cold weather!
I’ve been busy working on lots of exciting stuff for the upcoming wedding season, finishing album designs and that sort of thing. I really can’t believe it’s already March!
Anyway, stay tuned for some fun stuff. I’m going to try to take some more time this year and blog a little more on a personal level and how that all ties into my photography business. I was looking back through my blog posts and while they are awesome (lol) - I mostly have just posted my favorite shots from weddings and other events. Even though I’m super busy, I’m really going to make the effort and find the time to post more! More personal photography work, more wedding industry related thoughts and talk about trends, featured vendors etc…
Stay tuned!
