Vinit & Divya E-Session

Vinit & Divya are getting married next month in Pittsburgh. I’m unfortunately not shooting the wedding, however they contacted me to shoot some Engagement photos in Chicago. We had a lot of fun with this shoot. I love the colors and textures of the clothes that were worn during the first half of the session with traditional Indian dress. We started off in the Lincoln Park area and then headed down to the Crimson Lounge at hotel Sax Chicago where Vinit and Divya spent time when they first started dating. Then we ran around the river area a bit getting some bridge shots as well as some in front of The Chicago Theater. We didn’t get to do much along Michigan Ave because it was all closed down for the Transformers 3 filming!

Kevin & Anna E-Session

Kevin & Anna are getting married later this year and we recently took some time to head out and shoot some Engagement photos. As with most Engagement Sessions in the city, we hopped in a few cabs and hit various locations. We started out by Wrigley Field, then headed over to the Lily Pool at Lincoln Park Zoo. After that we ran downtown for a quick wardrobe change and grabbed some shots on the LaSalle Street Bridge and ended up around The Chicago Theater. I had an awesome time and I can’t wait for the wedding!

Mike & Amy E-Session

Mike & Amy are getting married in July and we were able to squeeze in an Engagement Session last month. We ended up shooting around the Lincoln Park area, which as you can tell by some of my recent shoots looks to be a pretty popular place in Chicago to shoot Engagement Sessions. I guess I have to blame myself for posting up some cool sessions a while back – now everyone wants to hit up the same locations! However – just like weddings, shooting at the same locations with different couples does not = same images…

We all had a fun time and I can’t wait for the wedding in July!

David & Chrissy E-Session

David & Chrissy are getting married later this year and should be having a really great wedding that I’m looking forward to shooting.

The idea with this shoot was to start later in the evening so that we could begin with some shots in the daylight and transition to some fun night shots.

We started off near Navy Pier at Olive Park and got some really fun shots with some of the skyline in view as well as the cool walkway along Lake Michigan. After that we headed down to Michigan Ave to get some awesome shots with all the city lights and then ended back at Navy Pier.

As much as I enjoy shooting weddings, Engagement Sessions are so much fun. They often end up being quite an adventure.

Brian & Sarah E-Session

Brian & Sarah are getting married in June and we were able to sneak in their Engagement Session as soon as the weather started to get bearable in Chicago.

We started over by Wrigley Field and made a stop at one of their favorite bars in Wrigleyville. From there we made a quick stop in Old Town and ran over to North Ave Beach to finish up. I had a great time and can’t wait for the wedding in a few months!

John & Kristin E-Session!

John & Kristin are another 2010 couple that were hoping to get some nice fall colors in their Engagement Session photos. Yet again I lucked out on the weather because the rainy forecast ended up being not so rainy! I need to get a job as a Meteorologist because apparently they can be wrong 100% of the time and not get fired!

We started out by Lincoln Park Zoo, made a quick stop at the Lily Pond, then zipped over near North Ave Beach to grab some skyline shots. It was a fun shoot and I’m super excited to be working with John & Kristin next year!

Mike & Kathyrn E-Session!

Mike & Kathryn were one of my last Engagement Sessions this season. The weather was just starting to really get cold in Chicago (although the past 2 weeks weren’t so bad!) and the leaves were falling. We grabbed some shots through the Lincoln Park area, Museum Campus and then headed over by Millennium Park to get some shots with the AON building in the background. Mike & Kathryn are having their reception at the Mid-America Club at the AON Center and they wanted to get some pictures with it in the background to use for “Save the Date” cards. I don’t know if my “Leaning Tower of Pisa” like shots will make it to their cards but at the time I thought they were hilarious

Mike & Roula E-Session!

Mike & Roula are getting married next year and we dodged some rainy weather in Chicago to go out and grab some shots. They are planning to use some of the shots for their “Save the Date” cards so we were sure to grab some nice portraits at the Palmer House (their reception location). After that we cabbed around a bit and shot around Oliver Park (a seemingly popular location lately) as well as Old Union Station because it was windy and chilly. I had a fun time and am really looking forward to working with Mike & Roula again at the wedding next year!

Mike & Meghan E-Session!

I just realized that I never posted Mike & Meghan’s Engagement Session photos on the blog! I’ll blame it on the craziness that is the “Summer Wedding Season”! In any event, we shot these photos back at the end of July. Mike & Meghan are getting married in 2010 and I actually just shot her sister Molly’s wedding last month.

Andy & Erin E-Session!

A few weeks ago I shot Andy & Erin’s Engagement Session along the Naperville Riverwalk. They are getting married next year and I’m super excited to be working with them on their wedding. Here are a few shots from the session. We ended up back at the location where Andy proposed to Erin. I’m not sure if he got down on his knee the first time around – but I’m sure she said yes!
