Bob & Jennifer were married back in January and were my first 2010 couple…  Jen and my wife have known each other for many years and when she asked me to shoot her wedding I couldn’t say no! :)   They are also both friends with Kim (whose wedding I shot a little while back) – so there were a lot of familiar faces on the dance floor…

The ceremony was held at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Franklin Park, followed by a gorgeous reception at Beau Jolie in Schiller Park.

I received a few emails from people interested in being able to view the Photo Spots that I referred to in my last post – but they don’t have iPhones…

The good news is that you can view them as well. It won’t be as slick as the iPhone app presentation – but all of the same data is there including sample photos etc.

Just click on the link below to jump over to a Google Map view of some of my favorite Photo Spots.

I will definitely be adding many more in the coming weeks when I get a chance!

James & Katie were married just over a month ago… Yes, I know I’ve been slacking on Blog updates – too much snow and hibernation going on in Chicago :)

This was a super fun New Years Eve wedding.  I love shooting NYE weddings because they always end up being a blast.  The ceremony was held at the First Baptist Church of Geneva followed by a rockin’ reception at the Hotel Arista in Naperville.  If you haven’t been there – it’s a pretty swank new hotel, definitely love the atmosphere…

After the ceremony we braved the freezing cold weather to grab some outdoor night shots in Naperville.  I have to give kudos to the bridesmaids and groomsmen for holding out in the cold weather – we got some fun shots!

Ben & Carrie were married a few days after Thanksgiving and I was completely honored to have been asked to document their beautiful day. They were a referral from Scott & Erin, so there were a bunch of familiar faces at the wedding :)

The ceremony took place at Sauganash Community Church followed by a reception at the Hillcrest Country Club. Everyone had a fun time and it was a really great event!

Brett & Lindsay were married just about a month ago and had one of the most fun weddings that I’ve shot this year.  All of my couples have fantastic weddings though! :)   Brett & Lindsay were a referral from Ted & Katie from 2008.  They share a lot of the same group of friends – so there were lots of familiar faces!

The ceremony was held at St. Teresa of Avila church, followed by an intimate reception at Salvatore’s Restaurant.  We hit Michigan Ave for some fun shots after the ceremony because at around 4:30 this time of year it’s dark in Chicago!  Nothing that the lights of the city couldn’t fix!

Justin & Amy were married in November and we were lucky enough to get an absolutely gorgeous warm day.  End of the year Chicago weddings are always a roll of the dice :)   The ceremony was held at St Louis de Montfort church with a super fun reception at the Abbington.  The wedding was absolutely perfect and everyone in attendance had a ton of fun!

John & Kristin are another 2010 couple that were hoping to get some nice fall colors in their Engagement Session photos.  Yet again I lucked out on the weather because the rainy forecast ended up being not so rainy!  I need to get a job as a Meteorologist because apparently they can be wrong 100% of the time and not get fired!

We started out by Lincoln Park Zoo, made a quick stop at the Lily Pond, then zipped over near North Ave Beach to grab some skyline shots.  It was a fun shoot and I’m super excited to be working with John & Kristin next year!

Mike & Kathryn were one of my last Engagement Sessions this season.  The weather was just starting to really get cold in Chicago (although the past 2 weeks weren’t so bad!) and the leaves were falling.  We grabbed some shots through the Lincoln Park area, Museum Campus and then headed over by Millennium Park to get some shots with the AON building in the background.  Mike & Kathryn are having their reception at the Mid-America Club at the AON Center and they wanted to get some pictures with it in the background to use for “Save the Date” cards.  I don’t know if my “Leaning Tower of Pisa” like shots will make it to their cards but at the time I thought they were hilarious :)

Mike & Roula are getting married next year and we dodged some rainy weather in Chicago to go out and grab some shots.  They are planning to use some of the shots for their “Save the Date” cards so we were sure to grab some nice portraits at the Palmer House (their reception location).  After that we cabbed around a bit and shot around Oliver Park (a seemingly popular location lately) as well as Old Union Station because it was windy and chilly.  I had a fun time and am really looking forward to working with Mike & Roula again at the wedding next year!

I just realized that I never posted Mike & Meghan’s Engagement Session photos on the blog!  I’ll blame it on the craziness that is the “Summer Wedding Season”!  In any event, we shot these photos back at the end of July.  Mike & Meghan are getting married in 2010 and I actually just shot her sister Molly’s wedding last month.

These are a few of my favorite shots from the session.  I can’t wait until the wedding :)
