Bob & Jennifer were married back in January and were my first 2010 couple… Jen and my wife have known each other for many years and when she asked me to shoot her wedding I couldn’t say no!
They are also both friends with Kim (whose wedding I shot a little while back) – so there were a lot of familiar faces on the dance floor…
The ceremony was held at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Franklin Park, followed by a gorgeous reception at Beau Jolie in Schiller Park.

James & Katie were married just over a month ago… Yes, I know I’ve been slacking on Blog updates – too much snow and hibernation going on in Chicago
This was a super fun New Years Eve wedding. I love shooting NYE weddings because they always end up being a blast. The ceremony was held at the First Baptist Church of Geneva followed by a rockin’ reception at the Hotel Arista in Naperville. If you haven’t been there – it’s a pretty swank new hotel, definitely love the atmosphere…
After the ceremony we braved the freezing cold weather to grab some outdoor night shots in Naperville. I have to give kudos to the bridesmaids and groomsmen for holding out in the cold weather – we got some fun shots!

Ben & Carrie were married a few days after Thanksgiving and I was completely honored to have been asked to document their beautiful day. They were a referral from Scott & Erin, so there were a bunch of familiar faces at the wedding
The ceremony took place at Sauganash Community Church followed by a reception at the Hillcrest Country Club. Everyone had a fun time and it was a really great event!

Brett & Lindsay were married just about a month ago and had one of the most fun weddings that I’ve shot this year. All of my couples have fantastic weddings though!
Brett & Lindsay were a referral from Ted & Katie from 2008. They share a lot of the same group of friends – so there were lots of familiar faces!
The ceremony was held at St. Teresa of Avila church, followed by an intimate reception at Salvatore’s Restaurant. We hit Michigan Ave for some fun shots after the ceremony because at around 4:30 this time of year it’s dark in Chicago! Nothing that the lights of the city couldn’t fix!

Justin & Kierstin were married just over a month ago in Chicago. They are both currently living in New York, but decided to have their wedding in Chicago. I’m glad they did because it was an awesome event! I am grateful to have been asked to take part in documenting it.
The ceremony was held at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, followed by the reception at The Blackstone Hotel.
The wedding party was a fun bunch, we got a lot of really great shots in between the Ceremony and Reception – be sure to check out the slideshow for a lot more of my favorites!

Kevin & Molly had an absolutely beautiful wedding a little over a month ago. Molly is Meghan’s sister and I’ll be shooting Meghan’s wedding next year. I’m certainly looking forward to that wedding too!
The ceremony was held at Trinity United Methodist Church in Wilmette and the reception at the Union League Club in Chicago.

Back in June I shot Mike & Ann’s wedding. David Clawson from Perfect Pear Media was also at the event shooting video… I just wanted to post up his highlights film which gives his take on the day. It also gives you a little peek into a typical wedding day shoot as you can see me working in a bunch of the scenes
Just look for the flashing camera or guy dressed all in black with the big camera
Great film David!!

Mike & Jen were married last month and had a typical Chicago August outdoor wedding. It was HOT! Even thought the heat and humidity made things a bit uncomfortable for everyone wearing their suits, dresses and tuxes – the wedding was beautiful! The ceremony was held at Wilder Park in Elmhurst – right across the street from Elmhurst College where I went for my undergrad.
We were able to take some nice relaxed portraits in the park before heading off to Concorde Banquets and a great time for the reception.
As a photographer, I’ve been lucky to work with such awesome couples. Thanks Mike & Jen for inviting me to share and document your special day!
Here are just a few of my favorite photos from the day as well as a slideshow.

Tommy & Kristin were married just over a month ago and I was honored to work with them in documenting their special day. I first met Tommy and Kristin back at Tommy’s sister Basia’s wedding back in 2007. I love shooting weddings that are close family referrals. Hopefully sometime in the future we’ll all be shooting baby photos
The ceremony was held at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church followed by a magnificent reception at Drury Lane. We also stopped by the Morton Arboretum for some quick relaxed portraits before heading over to the reception and that was a lot of fun…
Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day as well as a longer slideshow.
