Ryan & Gina contacted me a couple weeks before their wedding to see if I was able to shoot an Engagement Session three days before the wedding. They were coming into town from out of state for their wedding celebration and wanted to get some shots to include in their wedding day slideshow. I’m always up for a challenge – so we shot the session on a Wednesday. I turned around the edit and got them photos for them to integrate into their slideshow on Thursday evening and then I shot the wedding on Saturday. It was pretty hectic – but in the end turned out great!
We spent some time shooting at Phillips Park Zoo in Aurora. If you haven’t been there before, there are a lot of cool spots all within a short walking distance. Definitely check it out! Here are some of my favorite images from the sesssion!

Matt & Carrie are getting married next year. Carrie is the second out of the three sisters getting married (from my last blog posts). We spent a few hours
trekking around Chicago to get these fun shots. It was quite a mix of locations. We started out near the Kinzie street bridge, made our way down to the
Riverwalk to grab a water taxi. Then we shot around Michigan Ave for a bit and ended up at RL (Ralph Lauren Restaurant) – one of Matt & Carrie’s favorite places.
I had a lot of fun and am certainly looking forward to the wedding next year. Matt & Carrie were also featured on WCIU’s You & Me This Morning Engagement Story segment!
Five of my couples made it onto TV this year – so fun!

We recently tweaked our branding (logo etc) and are making changes on the blog and main website to reflect this. However as you look through some of the past posts and features over the years you may notice our old logo watermarked on the featured images and slideshows. It would take way too much time to go back and change all of those!

I am starting to get caught up on blog posts now that my wedding season is pretty much over for 2011! It’s nice to have some breathing room to play catch up on the blog
Luke & Cindy are getting married in 2012. Cindy will make the 3rd sister in the same family that I will have shot a wedding for in 1.5 years! Sally was married this past summer. Cindy and her sister Carrie are both getting married in 2012!
Luke & Cindy and I ran around for a day to night Engagement Session a few months back. There are definitely some awesome shots in this collection.
They were also another couple that got a feature on You & Me This Morning. So do check out their story there too! It’s pretty funny.
